According to these books, if we don’t forgive, we eventually turn into balls of rage and seething anger, trapped in a life of inner turmoil and destined to self-implode in a spiral of selfishness and stubborn self-destruction.I Don’t Do Forgiveness. Well, I do do forgiveness, but only for the right people. The people who take responsibility for their actions, the people who will take action to make amends, even if it means facing some tough stuff within themselves. Even then, there is a ‘forgiveness line’. Once someone crosses that, there’s no going back. Abusive behavior crosses this line. This behavior is not acceptable to me and that’s why I don’t buy the ‘forgiveness for all’ approach. There are some people I just don’t want to forgive.What Forgiveness Is Forgiveness only comes when people have shown that they recognized their actions were wrong and have taken steps to make amends.Sometimes, Forgiveness Is Dangerous. Why? Because it’s a way of letting ourselves pretend that things weren’t really so bad, that we didn’t really feel that hurt, or that scared or that angry. Here’s the thing: undeserved forgiveness is not only cruel to you, it’s cruel to the perpetrator as well. By forgiving, we are condoning their actions, saying it’s OK for them to behave that way. If we don’t forgive, if we raise our standards and expect more in retribution; that affects their standards too.The Bottom Line: Forgiveness has to be earned and it’s totally OK not to forgive someone. There is no ‘should’ – you can choose to forgive or not, whoever is concerned. There is such a thing as unforgivable. if you looked clsoely at the catholic social teachings in the cathicism you would sea everything we teach is of love. marrage is the onyl place for sexual relations. we are called to lived chase lives and only be with the one we truly love for who they are not a physical being. on the issue of homosexuals the catholic church does not hate or banish such people, but they simple do not aprove of the life style. someone who is "gay" by choice or bye nature if you beleave eather may be called to something higher. you dont not need to serve God by being with someone else. the catholic church may be old fashoned. but what is wrong with tradition. you still celibrate some holliday dont you? concerning preasts and other church leaders who supposedly dont know what they are talking about have you ever thought that being selibut may allow you to see things with diffent eyes or maybe its the wisdome with age.

This reminded me of a tribute given by the wife of a dear friend at his humanist funeral and I post it here in his memory. "Pericles was a statesman and orator who lived two thousand four hundred years ago in Greece. I am a little ambivalent about some things he said but I feel that this is particularly apt for Peter:

'What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.'

I am not sure what Pericles would think of being quoted at the funeral of a van salesman two thousand four hundred years after he died. However, Peter was a good salesman but more importantly a good man".

Would that the same could be said of us all........

.... ACTUALLY, having looked closer, this is built into the theme ... the footer.php file is coded to show copyright and insert the blog name from bloginfo as an a href file to url from bloginfo. So not us! :p

About voting, I understand the motivation but disagree with your decision - however, I doubt I'll change your mind!

About the copyright - first, it refers to the content, second, I didn't change anything directly, I just installed it and it picked up the copyright from a previously installed theme - can't even find in this theme where to change it! No infringement intended.
